How to Gain Weight
Weight gain is something
not so easy to do. A lot of people think that
weightlifting is the key to gaining weight, which
is absolutely true.
It is one of the important
parts of how to gain weight. But, there are other
things that are just as important when it comes
to weight gain.
Weight gain is not just diet but
change in your lifestyle.Eating
is the most crucial and important factor
that is needed to gain weight.
Carefully
plan your meals with food to gain weight,
not fat. Stay away from the bad fat.
Focus on foods such as steak, chicken,
fruit, milk, vegetables, cheese and assorted
types of beans and nuts. Increase your normal
portion size and go for seconds.
Eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three
other small snack meals throughout the day.
Proper
eating is of utmost importance in weight
gain, but if you do not lift weights, the
majority of that gained weight will be fat
- not muscle.
So get in the gym and lift! Make sure you are
doing it correctly to make the correct weight
gain.
When trying to gain weight, it is suggested
to work out three times a week.
To gain weight, you do not need weight gain supplement,
but they will help you gain the weight quicker.
Remember they are supplements to an already good
diet and training program.
Track your progress by weighing yourself once
a week. This is extremely important.
Expect a
1 or 2 pound gain at the end of the week. Remember
that gaining anymore then 1 or 2 pounds a week
is unhealthy and means you're putting on way to
much fat.
But it is also important to figure out if the
weight you are gaining is muscle or fat.
To know
this, you need to also track your body fat percentage!
Drink lots of water! Drink your 6 to 8 glasses
a day, more if you can.
It is that water that
will give you the energy you need to gain that
weight!
The easiest, yet most over looked step is sleep.
You will need at least 8 hours of sleep a day.
If you follow your diet and program correctly
with discipline & hard work, you should be
able to put on a healthy weight gain sooner or
later.
