Body Builders Exercise
A bodybuilder
refers to anyone who engages in the process of
developing muscle fibers through the combination
of weight training, increased caloric intake,
and rest.
Bodybuilding
has since extended to branch out into a
sport called competitive bodybuilding.
In the process, competitors flaunt their
bodies by performing a number of poses.
At the end of the day, bodybuilders vie
for the prize of being adjudged as owning
the most aesthetically pleasing physique.
Female body builders or woman body builders
only began to take part in bodybuilding competitions
in the 1970s.
There are even workouts specially
formulated for teen body builders.
Most recently,
many have taken interest in natural body
builders. Natural bodybuilders are supposed
to refrain from illegal substances and are banned
for any violations from future contests. The International Federation of Bodybuilders
organizes bodybuilding's most prestigious competition
- Mr. Olympia.
Generally, a bodybuilder's size and shape are
far more important than how much he or she can
lift.In the preparations leading to the competition,
bodybuilders aim to keep muscle loss to a minimum.
At present, competitive bodybuilders make muscle
gains off-season. Three to four months before
competition, bodybuilders attempt “cutting”
or the reduction of body fat.
Male bodybuilders and female bodybuilders alike
will apply various products to their skin - prior
to performing on stage - to improve their muscle
definition.
Some of these products include “pro
tan”, which simulates an artificial tan,
and various oils to make the skin shiny.
In order to achieve hypertrophy or muscle growth,
bodybuilders emphasize resistance weight training,
specialized nutrition, intake of bodybuilding
protein and bodybuilding supplements, and adequate
rest.
The program of weight training involves lifting
progressively increasing amounts of weight, often
employing a variety of exercises and types of
equipment to target specific muscle groups. Weight
training is primarily an anaerobic activity, though
its more evolved routines incorporate aerobic
elements.
NutritionMuscle bodybuilders call for a specialized diet
to promote high levels of muscle growth and repair.
In general, bodybuilders require between 500 to
1000 Calories, an quantity above their maintenance
level of food energy while attempting to increase
lean body mass.
Five to seven meals of roughly equal nutritional
content, scattered in regular intervals throughout
the day, usually comprise the daily diet of a
muscle body builder.
Bodybuilders do not need so much simple sugars
as polysaccharides that can be derived from carbohydrates.
For that matter, carbohydrates compose a hefty
proportion of bodybuilding diet.
Bodybuilders
however, ingest some simple sugars to stock up
on glycogen within the muscle.
Much debate has raged on concerning the best
type of Bodybuilding protein to take.Nevertheless,
the recommended allowance for bodybuilders is
1 to 2 grams of protein per pound per day of lean
body weight (2 to 5 g/kg) to help the body recover
and build.
Meat, fish, eggs and dairy foods are
high in protein, as are some nuts, seeds, beans
and lentils. It is believed that protein needs
to be consumed frequently throughout the day,
hence special protein shakes.
Building muscle means entails the bodybuilder
concerned to consume a wide variety of bodybuilding
supplements. Among others, bodybuilders take dosages
of essential fatty acid and amino acids. In particular,
bodybuilding Vitamins and bodybuilding minerals
also take precedence.
Bodybuilders tend to favor the use of drugs to
contrive results that can edge out results otherwise
caused by natural hypertrophy. The use of anabolic
steroids and precursor substances such as prohormones
are used in high-level competitions, even though
these substances are illegal in many countries.
Muscle stimulation occurs in the gym lifting
weights but growth does not so much as during
rest. Muscles recover and build, with the adequate
rest and sleep. In addition, many bodybuilding
athletes find a daytime nap further increases
their body's ability to build muscle.
